Taiji

Promoting Health for Everyone

The Theory

The fundamental purpose of Taiji Meditation (TM) practice is to promote health both mentally and physically, through better coordination and integration between invisible mind ("Yin") and physical body ("Yang"), based on Chinese Taiji Yin-Yang (阴阳) theory. It is all about the balance of the Yin and the Yang in nature. During TM exercises, we consciously practice the opposite feelings of being light and heavy, loose and tight, soft and hard, slow and fast, still and moving, rising and falling, expanding and shrinking, empty and solid, etc. Enhanced consciousness and mental power stimulates internal energy systems and then strengthens the physical body, achieving a more balanced human status.
